From http://www.nhicac.org/, "The New Hampshire Internet Crimes Against Children (NH ICAC) Task Force was established in 1998 and is responsible for investigating cases of child sexual exploitation involving the use of high technology throughout the state of New Hampshire. Such crimes include child prostitution, online solicitation of minors, and the possession, manufacturing and distribution of child sexual abuse images."
Greenland Police is designated as an "affiliate" of the NH ICAC, which means that we assist in the invetigation of the above mentioned crimes both in our Town and as needed across the State. Since 1998, the NH ICAC was funded exclusively by Federal grants/monies (even though the funds were greatly reduced from year to year). Beginnging 2017, the NH ICAC is requesting that some funds come from the State of NH via the general budget in order to continue this important work.
