The
first Thursday of the month is normally scheduled as a Work Session.
During this meeting, the Board reviews internal and ongoing
projects. The third Thursday of the month is set aside for public
hearings. Applicants will come before the Board for various
projects, which includes but are not limited to:
- initial reviews
- application acceptance
- project acceptance
The Town of Greenland also has a Circuit Rider from the Rockingham Planning Commission available every Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. The RPC Circuit Rider and other staff members help with build-out analysis, GIS mapping, master plan updating and ordinance drafting. He can be contacted through the Building Inspector's office (431.3070 x108).
The ROCKINGHAM PLANNING COMMISSION is one (1) of nine (9) regional planning commissions in New Hampshire. The Commission's region consists of 27 communities within Rockingham County, however, is not affiliated with the county. Operating as a non-profit local government organization, the Commissions serves in an advisory role to towns in order to promote coordinated planning, orderly growth, efficient land use, transportation access and environmental protection. The Commission's professional planning staff provides an array of planning assistance to the 27 active member communities.
The RPC meets the second Wednesday of the month at 7:00 p.m. Each town active within the RPC will host a meeting.
