FROG JUMPING DAY
Monday, May 13, 2013
The roots of FROG JUMPING DAY go back to Mark Twain's first short story.  While there have been many links and references to Frog Jumping Day evolving from Mark Twain's story, the reason for this particular date is yet to be discovered.

CHICKEN DANCE DAY
Tuesday, May 14, 2013
The Chicken Dance is a tradition at weddings, childrens' discos and family events.  In order to get some practice in, take some time on CHICKEN DANCE DAY to learn to dance like a chicken.

STRAW HAT DAY
Wednesday, May 15, 2013
STRAW HAT DAY marks the point when your felt hats should be put away (until FELT HAT DAY in September), and you start to wear your straw hat to keep cool. Modern research shows, however, that straw hats aren't necessarily any cooler or better protection from the sun than other hats.

SEA MONKEY DAY
Thursday, May 16, 2013
Everybody loves the Sea Monkey.  Today is the perfect day to pay homage to our small, aquatic, frolicking friends.

PACK RAT DAY
Friday, May 17, 2013
We're all pack rats, hoarders of treasures and possessions. PACK RAT DAY encourages us to embrace the fact that we want to keep stuff as it may be useful or valuable in days or years to come.
